Nivea Cherry Blossom Lotion with Jojoba Oil Review

Nivea Cherry Blossom Lotion Review

With spring around the corner, I decided to try the Cherry Blossom & Jojoba Oil body lotion by Nivea.

April is Cherry Blossom season, so the Nivea Cherry Blossom oil-infused lotion seemed like a perfect new product to try.

See my review of the Nivea Cherry and Jojoba Oil lotion below.

Nivea Cherry Blossom Lotion Review: What I Love

Here's what I love about the Nivea Cherry Blossom lotion with jojoba oil.

1. Smells amazing

I absolutely love, love, love the smell of this lotion. It reminds me of spring and is refreshing. After rubbing this lotion on my legs, my entire bathroom smelled great too.

2. Seeps into the skin quickly

I put the cherry blossom lotion on my legs, waited 3 minutes, and then put on my tights. The lotion was 100% absorbed into my skin by the time I got dressed, which was nice.

3. Good consistency

This lotion is ever so slightly watery, but that didn’t bother me. The moisturizers by Jergens are definitely thicker, but the Nivea lotion is good.

4. Easy to apply

I usually don’t apply lotion, as my legs aren’t dry and I don’t have the patience to spend an extra 2-3 minutes to apply it.

Fortunately, the Cherry Blossom lotion was easy to apply. No complaints from me!

5. Moisturizing

It works! My skin felt moist afterward.

Nivea Cherry Blossom and Jojoba Oil Lotion Review: What I Didn't Love

I don’t have anything bad to say about the Cherry Blossom & Jojoba Oil lotion. I love it!

However, below are two reasons you may not like the Nivea lotion.

1. It may bother those with sensitive skin and allergies

If you are allergic to scents and have sensitive skin, I would definitely stay far, far away from this moisturizer.

2. It has alcohol as a primary ingredient

The fourth ingredient in this lotion is “alcohol denat.,” which is an abbreviation for denatured alcohol. Denatured alcohol is often used in creams to make them lighter and to act as a preservative.

Personally, I’d recommend staying away from lotions and moisturizers with alcohols like ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, alcohol denat, and methanol.

These alcohols can cause dryness and irritation. So in essence, the alcohol temporarily hydrates your skin but can cause the skin to become dry again a few hours later.

Here's what women said about the Nivea Cherry Blossom lotion compared to the other lotions by Nivea.

Nivea Oil Infused Vanilla & Almond vs. Nivea Oil Infused Cherry Blossom

“Shortly after putting it on, your skin doesn’t feel as moisturized as the original formula.”

Alternatives to the Cherry Blossom Lotion by Nivea

Want to try a different lotion this spring? Check out my review of the top moisturizers for dry skin.

I love the lotions by Burt’s Bees, CeraVe, and Aveeno for dry skin. Unfortunately, none of these lotions come close to having the refreshing, delicate smell of the Cherry Blossom lotion.

My Takeaway: I LOVE the Nivea Cherry Blossom Lotion

In summary, I absolutely love the Cherry Blossom & jojoba oil lotion by Nivea. It just makes me happy putting it on, because it reminds me of spring and summer (my favorite time of year).

I also love the lotions by Burt’s Bees, CeraVe, and Aveeno for dry skin.

However, those lotions don't have the refreshing, delicate smell of the Cherry Blossom lotion.
