This beauty product review guide includes what I liked and what I didn't love about the Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream.

In summary, I was delighted to receive a sample of the Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream by Sunday Riley.

Sunday Riley claims that its cream improves skin moisture by more than 65% and reduces the appearance of dark spots. It sounded too good to be true! So I tried it out.

2022 Update: It appears that Sunday Riley no longer makes the Tidal Brightening Enzyme Cream.

If you are searching for a brightening and hydrating cream, check out the TruSkin Vitamin C serum from Amazon as an alternative. The vitamin C serum gets GREAT reviews and it is less than $20 on Amazon.

You can also try the Sunday Riley C.E.O Afterglow Brightening Vitamin C Cream instead, which people love!

Tidal Brightening Cream by Sunday Riley Review: What I Liked

Here's what I liked about the Sunday Riley brightening cream.

Absorbs easily: It immediately absorbed into my skin.

Brightens: It brightened my skin the next day (slightly).

Clears skin: It cleared up my skin in one use. Seriously – the pimples on my forehead looked smaller.

Moisturizes: It’s packed with hyaluronic acid – proven to keep skin plump and hydrated.

Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Cream Review: What I Didn't Like

What I didn’t like about the Sunday Riley moisturizing cream with hyaluronic acid and tamarind extract.

Smell: It has a slight algae smell to it. Not bad, but it isn’t the luxurious smell of the product that I associate with Estee Lauder creams.

Packaging: The packaging is just kind of bland in a boring blue bottle.

Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream vs. The Ordinary HA

Women compare the Tidal Brightening Ezyme Water Cream to the 2% Hyaluronic Acid by The Ordinary.

The Hyaluronic Acid (HA) 2% +B5 moisturizer by The Ordinary is a great alternative to the cream by Sunday Riley.

It is also much more affordable. (It is only $5-12.)

However, I think the two moisturizers are very different. The Ordinary’s HA seems to make some women’s skin peel and become dry, versus acting as a pure moisturizer.

On a side note, I’m testing the 10% Niacinamide and 1% zinc solution from The Ordinary right now. I use it nightly, and then moisturize every third night to prevent my skin from over drying.

Final Thoughts on Sunday Riley’s Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream

Overall, I give the Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream a B+ review.

I appreciated that it 1) didn’t make my forehead break out the next morning, and 2) didn’t feel the least bit greasy.

Personally, I’m still in search of the perfect night-time moisturizer. However, I may have found it with Koope's lightweight moisturizer!
