These hair products for frizzy hair were all recommended by my friends in Atlanta, GA where frizzy hair is a real problem!
1. Bumble and Bumble Primer – Best Product to Detangle Wet Hair and Tame Frizz
Apply Bumble and Bumble primer before drying hair in the morning. It works will to control fizz and smells great too!
2. Olaplex No. 6 Bond Smoother – Best at Eliminating Frizz While Strengthening Hair
I’m a big fan of Olaplex. It does wonders for frizzy or damaged hair. This leave-in styling cream works for all hair types and eliminates frizz while hydrating hair.
3. Olaplex Shampoo and Conditioner – Simple Solution to Prevent Frizz
Many of my friends swear by the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner combo (in addition to Olaplex No. 6!) to prevent frizzy hair. A wet brush helps too. If you want a quick and easy solution to prevent frizz in the summer humidity, use the Olaplex shampoo + conditioner combo daily.

If you have curly hair, try Aussie Instant Freeze. It’s cheap, glycerin free, and has jojoba oil as a sealant. Scrunch it into your hair to help define curls in the summer humidity.
5. Anti-Frizz Hair Towel to Prevent Frizz and Cut Down on Blow Drying Time
One of my friends swears by an anti-frizz microfiber towel. She said it cut down 90% of the frizz in her hair.

1. Avoid Products with Glycerin
Check the ingredients in each of the hair products that you use. Glycerin can cause frizz.
2. Use a Low Poo Shampoo
Look for low poo shampoo, which is shampoo without sulfates and no silicones. Unlike regular shampoo, low poo shampoo is gentle and doesn’t deplete your hair with its natural moisturizers.
Look for a loo poo shampoo in the curly hair section of stores like Target or Walmart.
The Pacifica Beauty Pineapple Curls Curl Defining Shampoo (what a mouthful!) gets great reviews.
3. Get a Keratin Treatment to Prevent Frizzy Hair
Get a keratin treatment to prevent frizzy hair. It’s expensive but worth it (especially in the summer!).
When my friend Danielle gets her hair cut short she always gets a keratin treatment to prevent it from being a big poof!
4. Use a Great Conditioner
A great conditioner can work wonders to prevent frizzy hair.
The Paul Mitchell Awapuhi line and the Joico K-PAK conditioner in the gold bottle get good reviews. Just don’t buy them from Amazon!
