How to Use Wella T14 Toner: Step by Step Instructions
Wella T14 toner is similar to Wella T18 toner, except it is a little bit more of a yellow color vs. a white color.
If you want to use Wella T14 toner to get rid of brassy hair or to just go blonder, then follow the instructions below.
How to Use Wella T14 Toner: Step-by-Step Instructions
You can use Wella T14 toner by bleaching your hair first or by jumping straight to applying just the toner.
You’ll need to bleach your hair first if your hair is dark and you want it to be lighter.
You can just use the Wella T14 toner and NOT bleach your hair first if you just want to tone your hair to get rid of brassiness.
If your hair is already light and if you just want to tone your hair, then skip step #1 below and go straight to step #2.
Step 1 for Using Wella T14 Toner: Bleach Your Hair
First, you’ll need to bleach your hair.
Mix one packet of Salon Care Prism Lites Bleach with two scoops of SalonCare 20 Volume Developer in a bowl.
Tip: Use Salon Care Prism Lites blue for darker hair and to get rid of orange tones. Use Salon Care Prism Lites in violet for medium brown to blonde hair and to get rid of yellow brassy tones.
Then, put on gloves and apply the beach throughout your hair.
Wait 20 minutes.
Then rinse out the bleach with shampoo in the shower.
What You Need to Bleach Your Hair:

Tip: Use blue bleach if you have orange undertones. Use violet bleach if you have yellow undertones.

Step 2 for Wella T14 Toner: Apply the Toner
Now, you will need to tone your hair.
Mix one bottle of the Wella T14 toner into a bottle.
Then, add 2 parts of Volume 20 developer to the toner (Wella or Salon Care brand).
Fill up the empty Wella T14 toner bottle twice with the 20-volume developer.
Mix all of this into the bottle.
Then, apply the toner mix to your hair.

The tutorial is for Wella T35, but the process is the same.
Wait 20-30 minutes and then rinse out the toner in the shower.
You can rinse your hair with a conditioner.
Step 3 for How to Use Wella T14 Toner: Go Easy on Your Hair
That is it. You are done!
Because bleaching and toning your hair is hard on your hair, don’t use a blow dryer or hair straightener for a few days.
You’ll also want to use a deep conditioning treatment.
