How to Go from Blonde to Light Brown Hair At Home

I love the Wella T18 ash blonde color for summer (it’s fun!), but I like to go brunette for fall.

Instructions for John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Treatment to from Blonde to Go Light Brown

To use the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Color Deepening Treatment to go brunette, simply apply to slightly wet hair, leave on for 5-10 minutes, and then rinse out.

2. Use a Semi-Permanent Hair Dye (At Home DIY for Blonde to Brown)

If you want a brown hair dye that will last longer, try a semi-permanent hair dye.

A semi-permanent hair dye will last about a month if you shampoo your hair every other day.

Temporary hair dyes are also easier on your hair.

The Clairol Natural Instincts semi-permanent hair dyes get pretty good reviews. The “8G Medium Golden Blonde – Sunflower” color seems to be liked the most among women.

After Pictures with Brown Hair

Below is how my hair looked immediately after using the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette treatment. The instructions say to leave it on for 5-10 minutes. I left it on for 15 minutes.
