Best Epcot Rides
Epcot is usually the #1 Disney World Park for adults (you can drink around the world!) and a favorite park for Florida locals due to the many festivals and special events, but Epcot still has a lot of great rides for kids and families.
Whether you are traveling with toddlers, adults, grandparents, 5-year olds and 7-year olds, or tweens, Epcot has something that everyone will enjoy.
This guide with the best rides at Epcot includes:
- The best rides at Epcot for 5 year olds, 6 year olds, and 7 year olds
- The best rides at Epcot for toddlers
- The best rides at Epcot for adults
- The best rides at Epcot for grandparents
P.S. – After reading this Disney Epcot guide, find out whether you should buy a Disney Genie+ pass for every member of your family and check out these things to bring to Disney that you may forget.
If you are searching for family-friendly rides at Epcot that everyone will love, here are my top picks.
I specifically focused on the best rides at Epcot for 7 year olds in this guide, as that’s a tricky age. My nephews are 7 and 9 years old, so these are the best rides at Epcot according to an actual 7-year old!
The Best Rides at Epcot for Families with Toddlers
This list of the best family rides at Epcot aren’t necessarily the most popular, but they are my personal favorite rides for families with toddlers, kids, and adults.
Best Family Ride at Epcot that Toddlers and Grandparents Will Love: Soarin’ Around the World
The Soarin’ Around the World ride at Epcot is relaxing and usually has a line that is under 20 minutes if you go before 10:30am or after 6pm.
In Soarin’ Around the World, you’ll get to see Antarctica, Paris, Africa, and more locations on a big screen TV. Plus, you get to smell each location. I love the grass smell and the ocean smells the most.
Reasons to Love the Soarin' Around the World Ride at Epcot for Families and Kids
★ Best ride at Epcot for grandparents
★ Best ride at Epcot for tweens and teens
★ Best ride at Epcot that used to have super long lines (now under 20 min if you go before 10:30am or after 7:30pm)
Best Family Ride at Epcot for Toddlers with a Fun Surprise: Spaceship Earth
I absolutely LOVE Spaceship Earth at Epcot. You go on a small moving car through time.
At the end of Spaceship Earth, you get to answer a set of questions and get to see what your future may look like.
Plus, the end of Spaceship Earth places you into a big room with lots of interactive games for kids to play.
Why Spaceship Earth at Epcot is a Great Ride for Kids
★ Best ride at Epcot for 5 year olds, 6 year olds, and 7 year olds
★ Best ride at Epcot for kids ages 9 and 10
Best Family Ride at Epcot for Toddlers and Little Kids: Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
The Ratatouille ride is the newest ride at Epcot. Go first thing in the morning to avoid lines or buy the Individual Lightening Lane pass to escape the lines and enter through the Lightening Lane.
I love Remy's Ratatouille Adventure because it is cute and you get to wear 3D glasses.
Reasons to Take Your Kids to Remy's Ratatouille Adventure
★ Best new ride at Epcot for the family
★ Best ride at Epcot for toddlers and kids
★ Best ride at Epcot for going before 9am to avoid the lines
My older nephew (a preteen) personally HATES and complains about most rides at Disney World, and he actually liked Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at Epcot.
P.S. – Debating on whether it’s worth the wait in line to take the kids to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at Epcot? You can check out the whole ride in this YouTube video.
Best Family Ride at Epcot that is Peaceful and Quiet: Living with the Land
This slow moving boat takes you through cool-looking plants that are eaten at the restaurants in Epcot.
You’ll get to see tomatoes, banana trees, and shrimp.
Reasons to Love Living with the Land at Epcot for Toddlers and Kids
★ Best ride at Epcot for a family meltdown
★ Best relaxing ride at Epcot
Best Family Ride at Epcot with No Line: The Seas with Nemo & Friends
The Seas with Nemo & Friends is a fun, family-friendly ride at Epcot, but a trick is to enter through the exit and head straight to the aquarium.
Epcot has a BIG aquarium that is free. You can get to it by going through the exit of the gift shop that is at the end of The Seas with Nemo & Friends ride.
Reason to Go to The Seas with Nemo & Friends at Epcot
★ Best attraction for kids of all ages
★ Best attraction for toddlers (my nephews loved the aquarium when they were 2 years old and 3 years old)
★ Best free aquarium you will ever see!
Note: The Seas with Nemo & Friends may be a scary ride for toddlers. There is a shark that jumps out at you, so you may want to skip the ride and go straight to the aquarium instead.
Best Fun and Silly Ride at Epcot for Adults, Toddlers, and Kids: Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros
Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros is a slow moving boat ride in Mexico at Epcot. It kind of reminds me of It’s a Small World in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. It’s just cute and fun.
I’d recommend going to this ride at Epcot, as I wouldn’t be surprised if Disney World gets rid of it in the next 5-10 years, kind of like how Disney got rid of the cute Viking ride in Norway to build Frozen Ever After.
Why I Love The Three Caballeros Ride at Epcot for Families with Kids and Adults
★ Best family friendly ride at Epcot with no lines
★ Best cute and fun ride at Epcot for adults
Best Show to See at Epcot: The Alberta Band in Canada
Okay, this isn’t a ride – but the band in Canada at Epcot is always good!
You may have to go early to get a seat, but it is worth it.
★ Best show at Epcot for adults
Note: Epcot used to have a LOT of great shows. Since COVID, Disney World has basically cancelled all of the best shows that used to be at Epcot.
Summary – The Best Family Rides at Epcot for Toddlers, Adults, and Kids
In summary, the best family friendly rides and attractions at Epcot are Soarin’ Around the World, Spaceship Earth, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Living with the Land, the Seas with Nemo & Friends (aquarium only, not the ride itself), and Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros.
Note: I did not include Frozen Ever After in this best of Epcot rides list. Frozen Ever After is a fun ride, but it’s not worth the 60 minute wait nor the $11 Individual Lightening Lane pass in my opinion.
