How to Keep Your Blonde Hair Healthy and Shiny

Want to keep your blonde hair looking its best with the best blonde hair products?

Whether you recently bleached your hair blonde, got pretty new highlights, or went for a complete change with Wella T18 to get platinum blonde hair, you need to care for your hair.

Bleaching your hair blonde damages your hair (just a little bit), so it’s important to take good care of your pretty blonde hair to ensure that it 1) is healthy and shiny and 2) doesn’t get too brassy!

This guide with the best blonde hair products, the best products for bleached hair, and easy-to-follow blonde hair tips includes:

  • Easy blonde hair care tips to follow
  • The best blonde hair products to use
  • What to use to prevent brassy hair (giveaway: it’s by using a good purple shampoo)

The 5 Best Blonde Hair Products

Follow these 5 easy blonde hair care tips to keep your hair healthy and shiny.

If you have blonde hair, there are a few go-to products that you need to maintain healthy hair that is strong and not brassy!

These are my favorites.

1. Oligo or Fanola Purple Shampoo

I like the Oligo Blacklight Shampoo and the Fanola No Yellow Shampoo.

If you have blonde hair, you NEED a purple shampoo to keep your hair looking healthy and blonde. Use a purple shampoo about once a week to prevent your hair from getting brassy and orange.

2. Olaplex No. 3

You need a good hair treatment if you have bleached blonde or dyed hair.

I like the Olaplex No. 3 Repairing treatment.

This hair treatment is expensive but it works wonders!! If your blonde hair is looking frizzy or has split ends, you need to use this deep conditioning treatment to make your hair healthy and shiny again.

3. Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil

Apply just a bit of Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil to damaged ends to strengthen your hair. You only need a little bit!

There are LOTS of hair oils out there, but none of them compare to Olaplex No. 7. Unlike other hair oils, Olaplex actually repairs your hair and doesn’t make your hair look greasy (or smelly!).

I usually get the “drugstore” version of hair products, but this is one hair oil that I buy the brand-name and pay a premium for.

Gift Idea: The Olaplex No. 7 bonding oil is a little bit expensive, so it makes for a great Mother's Day gift idea if you want to get mom something special to treat herself.

4. It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In Treatment

I love the It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In treatment. Apply in the morning for frizzy hair or before using a curling iron.

You can also use the It’s a 10 Miracle treatment for blondes. All of the “It’s a 10” leave in-treatments are more or less the same, and all of them are good.

If your blonde hair ever gets tangled, spray a little bit of this stuff on it and your hairbrush will comb through your hair easily!

5. L'Oreal Sulfate Free Shampoo & Conditioner

I love the L’Oreal Ever Pure Repair & Defend shampoo and conditioner set. It's relatively cheap, it smells great, and it's sulfate-free.

I’ve tried more expensive sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners for blondes and for color-treated hair, and this drugstore shampoo and conditioner combo is still my favorite.
